Bhavana Kumar,
Chief Design Officer

“I’m Bhavana Kumar, and I'm an architect. I believe in the power of design to enhance lives and drive positive change. For me, designing spaces for children—and by extension, for families—is about creating environments that empower freedom and growth. Freedom for kids to play, interpret, explore, and freedom for parents to pursue their passions, knowing their little ones are safe, happy and thriving."

Bhavana met her husband, an Italian architect Nicola La Noce, while she earned her Masters in Housing and Urbanism from the AA at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. Bhavana is a native Bangalorean and is loving the experience of raising her two daughters in Bangalore with her husband. Bhavana is a lover of deep conversations, cinema, and urban exploration.

Tanushree Seth, Co-Founder

“I am Tanushree Seth and I have over 16 years of experience advising Fortune 500 companies on growth strategies and running global brands like Estee Lauder and Tom Ford Beauty. I also raised $2M to launch an acne-focused skincare brand that I exited two years ago. Coro is a space that has been imagined by hardworking, career-focused mothers, who understand the demands that young children and lack of infrastructure put on parents and their careers, no matter the stage they are in."

Tanushree has an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She now lives in Bangalore with her husband Raja and their two young children, Nirvaan and Tara. Tanushree will never say no to trying out a new café, a crafting playdate or a long catchup with friends over a shared plate of dessert.

Sharana in her own words: "Hi! My name is Sharana Jhangiani and I have 15 years of experience crafting content & communications strategies for brands. I'm a solutions-oriented creative thinker who feels my best when I'm working alongside people who I feel aligned with, who inspire me, and with whom I have shared values.

Ever since I moved from Bombay to Bangalore 2.5 years ago, I've felt a strong desire to build my own village. As someone who was able to get along with even a brick wall, I found myself feeling stuck, shy and unable to put myself out there. It led to a year of acute loneliness and hiding behind work, which is why a space like Coro excites me on a professional level but especially on a personal level.

I live with my three kids: a sweet baby girl (age 1), a handsome dog (age 5), and a kind & bearded husband (age 41). I am a left leaning feminist, a recovering people pleaser, and I can't do small talk. I believe women can do absolutely anything and that we are freaking magical."

"Tanushree and I met over Whatsapp, through one of the many mom groups we both relied on so much during pregnancy and postpartum. Tanushree just moved back to India and I was in the middle of postpartum haze with a 3 month old. What started as a few quick messages now and then evolved into one of my most important friendships.

When @bhav_la_noce and I started dreaming up Coro, Tanushree was here as our number one advisor, bringing her wealth of experience to the table and propelling us forward. I was begging Tanushree to join us full time since the beginning, but neither of us wanted to risk the friendship for the sake of working together. I mean, what if we can't stand each other in the work setting?? I am a looot more off the cuff, "throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks" kind of a person, and Tanushree is very methodical and strategic. I joke that I finally wore her down and made her jump into this Coro madness!

I want every young parent to have what we have: unwavering support, friendship and a fully judgement-free space. I want you to come to Coro and leave with your new bestie, who might also be your co-founder! I hope to replicate this magic that happens when you find your village and your support system, all in the most beautifully designed space.
